Bruce Capristo, founder of Capristo salon, began styling at age 19. In his career, he owned and successfully operated many salons in the Pittsburgh area. He built his reputation working in fashion, film and televison and opened Capristo International, his flagship salon, in Shadyside over 19 years ago with his wife Cheech, also a stylist and Esthetician, by his side. Cheech has since retired from the chair, but stays active behind the scenes at Capristo. Roman Capristo, Bruce's son, has been with the salon for 15 years and took the reigns when Bruce sadly passed away. We are a family salon—some of our stylists have been here since Bruce first opened the doors, and some are young, fresh, up-and-coming artists. Our loose, laid-back atmosphere keeps our skilled staff intact, year after year, and keeps our clients coming back.
